Site Prep |
| |
| |
Containers are very durably constructed and
can support up to 60,000 pounds when
supported only at the four corners.
Because of their strength little
special Site Prep is necessary. Site Prep
will depend on your personal preferences and
needs.
-
§LEVEL
GROUND- If you prefer to keep your Container as close to
the ground as possible, we can position
the Container directly on the ground.
Doors work better on level
ground.
-
§CROSS
TIMBERS- If you prefer to keep your container elevated,
8 Cross Timbers can be used (one at
either end of the Container). However, over time the wood
in Cross Timbers can deteriorate.
-
§4
CONCRETE CAPSTONES- We recommend 4 Concrete Capstones at each of the four corners. Although 4
thick Capstones are required to prevent breaking, 2
Capstones can be used on top of the 4
Capstones to level the Container. If you
purchase a variety of Capstones, and
have a long level present when we
delivery your Container, our Drivers
will work with you to level your
Container.
-
GRAVEL PAD -
We
also recommend placing the Container on a
Gravel Pad. Gravel has the advantage
of preventing moisture caused decay in
addition to keeping the Container at ground
level.
